Finding Where a Function is Increasing and Decreasing

Problem: Find the intervals where \(f(x)=\dfrac{1}{(x-4)^2}\) is increasing/decreasing.

\(f(x)\) is increasing on \((-\infty,4).\)

\(f(x)\) is decreasing on \((4,\infty).\)
